About Me
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it, we go no where.”
-Carl Sagan

I was born and raised in sunny Tucson, Arizona where I received a Bachelors of Science in Urban and Regional Development with a Minor in Astronomy as well as a Masters of Science in Geographical Information Systems Technology from the University of Arizona. I never fully appreciated the pure beauty Tucson had to offer until I started college. Tucson has provided a beautifully authentic yet affluent way of living. When I chose my Bachelors degree, I wanted to be able to provide sustainable infrastructure of any sort for people living in the present and of the future, that incorporated natural habitat. I want to be able to create awesome things. My passion grew expeditiously and to improve my skills I thought “Why not just get my Masters too”! I moved to Austin, Texas in 2018, and did my Masters program online. I worked full time through my entire undergraduate and graduate career, which provided me with “life” skill sets.
I have a passion and hobby for astronomy or anything to do with space. I often attend Star Parties, which is just a fancy way of saying a group of nerds bringing their telescopes somewhere to look at planets, galaxies or nebulas (or to watch SpaceX launches). I have always had a passion for space and the idea of exploring the unknown. Achieving my Masters in GIS further catapulted me to continue to work toward my goal in the space/engineering field.
For the more fun side of me, I am extremely active in sports. I played soccer competitively my entire life, and continue to kick the ball around for fun. As long as I am able to be in the sun, I am happy. I love any opportunity to travel, whether it be locally or internationally. I am currently into a skateboarding show called “King of the Road” and watching Formula 1 (I think moving to Austin did that for me). I also own two cats and I taught them to sit and high five!
